Last day to migrate to Checkout Manager
Friday, August 15th, 2008
Are you still using an older version of checkout? If so, today’s your last chance to migrate to Checkout Manager on your own. After today, stores that have not made the switch will be automatically moved to Checkout Manager, but not published.
All merchants are reminded to publish Order Settings following migration, whether you’ve migrated on your own or we’ve moved your checkout for you. We can’t stress this enough. If you fail to publish Order Settings after migrating, your store will stop accepting orders once old checkout systems are shut down on SEPTEMBER 1.
Remember: While we recommend using Checkout Manager to optimize and customize your checkout flow, the default settings will provide you with a fully functional checkout. This allows you the option to migrate your checkout and publish Order Settings now, then make any desired customizations at a time convenient for you.
Stores built in Store Editor will also require an Editor publish for new order button settings to take effect. If your store uses custom order buttons, you’ll need to manually update your order button links. Learn how.
For help with migrating your checkout, please consult our migration information page, Checkout Manager migration help, and our PowerPoint slides from last month’s migration webinar.

Hi Don,
Thanks for the great question. You’re correct that your Order Settings have been published — your checkout is now on order.store.yahoo.net, and not the old checkout server (which was order.store.yahoo.com).
Now, you just need to update any custom links you’ve created that still point to order.store.yahoo.com, like the “Shopping Cart” link at the top of your site pages. Right now, these old links are redirecting to your new checkout pages, but in future they will not. This is a good note to all merchants to check your site templates for these old links, and change them to order.store.yahoo.net URLs.

Under the heading Order Settings on my store manager dashboard, at the bottom, is just ‘Published’ there is no Publish with a red asterisk. It looks like I’m all set, is that right? If I needed to do something would there be an obvious link under Order Settings stating that?
