For the developers out there, you may be interested in learning more about PayPal’s recently announced X Developer Challenge, for which the Yahoo! Developer Network is an X Award Sponsor. The PayPal X Developer Challenge features a grand prize worth $100,000 ($50,000 USD plus $50,000 USD in waived transaction fees for up to one year) for the most innovative new app built using the PayPal X platform, while the Yahoo! Developer Network is offering a prize of $10,000 for the best integration of PayPal APIs with Yahoo! technologies.
Application ideas registered on the PayPal X website by August 4, 2010, will also be eligible for a chance to win one of 10 iPads. Other deadlines to take note of are:
September 1, 2010: Applications for approval to use any of PayPal’s products that require approval must be submitted to PayPal by this date.
September 22, 2010: Contest submissions must be completed by this date.
