To greater protect your customers’ credit card information, beginning October 9, 2012, Order Manager order export formats will no longer contain full credit card numbers or expiration dates. As of this date, all order export formats in Order Manager will show only the last four digits of credit card numbers. Notice of this change was emailed to store owners earlier today (October 1, 2012).

Please note:

  • This change does not affect the functionality of the real-time order posts. If you have configured and are using real-time order posts, no action is required.

  • This change does not affect merchants processing credit cards directly in Order Manager via a FDMS compatible merchant account or PayPal. All Order Manager payment processing actions (e.g., sale, authorization, charge, refunds) will continue to be available to you as usual.

What do I need to do?

If you are currently using credit card information from any Order Manager order export format to process orders offline or perform other payment processing actions, we recommend the following:

What if my store is affected and I can’t make changes by October 9?

If your store is impacted by this change and you are unable to complete updates to how you perform affected payment processing actions before October 9, a short extension period to make updates can be requested. Please contact us if you require this short extension period.

We thank you for your attention to this matter. Should you have questions about how to make the change to real-time order posts or PGP encryption, please visit our help center or contact us.
